Rose Pizzeria

We just had a fabulous dinner here. We ordered two pizzas - alpine gold (white sauce) and champione (requested it to be red) and both were really delicious! The truffle in the alpine gold pizza made it very fragrant and complimented well the potatoes, white sauce and onions. The champione was loaded with really good mushrooms. We also had the salad with anchovies as appetizers that blended well with the spritz! Mandy got our orders promptly. Definitely will be back here!

This spot has a great outdoor patio. We started with a light spritzer, then moved on to the spicy Caesar salad. Its spice kick was fun, but it was way too heavily dressed with the miso-chili dressing. We shared two 14-inch pies—obviously we could only polish off one between the two of us, but variety is the spice of life! The Green Deluxe—with broccoli rabe, garlic confit, mozzarella cream sauce, and lemon—was delicious and just what I like in a veggie pizza. The She Wolf—with burrata, garlic confit, capers, olives, oregano, and some sort of flavorful dusting on the burrata—was too salty overall, but if you're looking for a more briny complement to one of their many orange wines, it might be a great fit. The pizza pies were Neopolitan-style, with a big, bubbly crust, and thinner dough from there to the floppy center. I prefer a crispy crust, personally, but that's the style! Our waitress talked us into the "tiramisu for two", and it was more than enough for two! Classic recipe, classic flavors, a great end to an adventurous meal.

Honestly my only favorite part of Rose was the patio and garden atmosphere. It was so beautiful, aesthetic and very quiet and peaceful with strong heaters. Okay yes the pizzas are excellent and you can just see the quality put into it with fennel seeds in the meat and perfectly baked thin crust with basically little to no oil and salt. However I don’t think it is worth the high price. I understand a large portion of the expense was probably for the patio atmosphere but the service wasn’t even that good. They were kind of passive aggressive to us, asking what do you two want and quickly leaving like they weren’t bothered to talk to us. Overall generally disappointed as I had really high expectations and really wanted to come here but man it is not worth the expense.

Five stars for everything! The service was just right, the atmosphere cozy, intimate, and warm. The backyard dining area was perfect for a warm night. We ordered the she-wolf pizza with anchovies- a total delight of a pizza. The crust is thin but not floppy and the topping all went really well together. The Cesar salad we ordered was so beautiful and FULL of goodies, more than enough for two hungry people. The blood orange Italian soda was actually from Italy. All of it seemed done with love & care. Great place, we will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious, authentic and unpretentious joint. The pizza is really well cooked with complex tastes. The salad was definitely the best Caesar salad I've ever had. The pudding was better than cake, chocolate and ice cream combined - not too sweet and almost velvety. Great service and friendly staff. Lighting in the restaurant feels a little dim but the ambiance is great.
